About Sinikka

Because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Hi, I’m Sinikka — founder of Wander and Rest Life.

This space grew from lived experience: chronic illness, neurodiversity, faith, and the quiet courage it takes to keep going when life feels heavy. Wander and Rest Life exists as a gentle place for those navigating fatigue, chronic pain, flare days, caregiving, or the everyday overwhelm of simply being human.
Living with fibromyalgia has changed the way I move through the world. Some days are slow and tender. Some days every part of my body hurts and rest becomes the priority. And some days—despite the pain—I show up anyway, knowing I’ll feel it later, because the joy matters too.
Alongside my wellness work, I’ve had the privilege of helping bring community moments to life—family days, children’s events, festive celebrations, and gatherings filled with laughter and connection. Whether it’s a summer festival by the canal, a room full of children in fancy dress, or a Christmas party buzzing with excitement, those moments remind me why this work matters. Seeing children smile, parents relax, and families feel held makes even the hardest days worth it.

Wander and Rest Life isn’t built on perfection or constant productivity. It’s built on flare days, gentle pacing, and learning to listen to the body rather than fight it. My work centres small, meaningful practices—rest without guilt, soft routines, emotional regulation tools, and movement that adapts to you, not the other way around.
This isn’t just a wellness platform. It’s a soft landing. A place where lived experience leads, compassion comes first, and you don’t have to earn your rest.
If you’re living with chronic illness, supporting a neurodivergent child, or searching for a kinder rhythm of life, you are welcome here—exactly as you are.

Wander gently,
Sinikka
