This past year with Wander and Rest Life has changed me in ways I didn’t expect.

What began as an idea rooted in rest, gentleness, and inclusion slowly grew into something real — something held by the community. I found myself showing up to canal-side festivals, helping create spaces where neurotypical and neurodivergent children could dress up, play freely, and simply exist without pressure or explanation. Each moment reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.

I met people who trusted me with their stories. Parents who felt seen for the first time. Children who didn’t have to mask. Families who just wanted a space that felt safe. Every conversation stayed with me.

But the moment that truly warmed my heart was being recognised with a Rising Star Certificate from Queen’s Park Community.

To be seen by the community I care so deeply about — to know that my love, effort, and intention were felt — meant more than I can put into words. This work comes from lived experience, from navigating chronic illness, neurodivergence, and the constant balancing act of caring while needing rest myself.

That recognition wasn’t about achievement. It was about belonging. It reminded me that leading with softness, honesty, and care still has power.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, trusted me, and walked beside me this year. I carry so much gratitude into what comes next.
